This novel is set primarily in Atlantic Canada around 2009. Seeking a literary agent for this novel.
While it involves a crime, it is not a who-dunnit mystery. It's literary fiction that explores the lives affected by a crime. My intended audience is high school through adult. Antoine is a fifth-grader out to prove that Aunt Lucie's account of what became of his mother is a lie.
How Frugal Is the Chariot

This is s literary novel that takes place from the mid-to-late twentieth century. It begins in the Anthracite Coal Region of Pennsylvania. Major scenes take place in Russia, the American Midwest, and the Mississippi Delta.

It is the story of two children living on the fringes, who form a deep friendship in the 1950's when they don't even understand each other's language.
​
A lengthy excerpt, titled "On to the Great River Road," was published as a stand-alone story in the Arkansas Review.
